‘Chicago Fire’ Star Taylor Kinney Thanks Fiancé Lady Gaga After Winning People’s Choice Award
“Chicago Fire” star Taylor Kinney took home the award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor Wednesday night at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards – and he made sure to thank his fiancé, Lady Gaga! His wife-to-be wasn’t in the audience, but that didn’t stop the 34-year-old actor from giving her a sweet shout out.
“My fiancé couldn’t be here tonight but she says hello,” Kinney told the audience, adding that Gaga said she wished that she could be there. “I love you, baby. You inspire me everyday.”
He continued to thank Gaga for having his “back.” But that wasn’t the only person he thanked. He made sure to mention the “amazing cast” and “amazing crew” of “Chicago Fire,” as well as his mom, who was in the crowd, and his fans.
Kinney was nominated for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor along with Jesse Williams (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Justin Chambers (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Scott Foley (“Scandal”) and Terrence Howard (“Empire”). “Chicago Fire” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
