China's Ruling Communist Party Says Will Accelerate Military Reform
BEIJING (Reuters) - China's ruling Communist Party will speed up reform of the military, state media reported on Tuesday, adding it aimed to reach its reform target by 2020.
The reform pledge was contained in a communique issued nearly a week after the Party's Central Committee held a high-level policy meeting to set a 13th Five-Year Plan. The official Xinhua news agency released parts of the document via its microblog.
