Chris Brown Sued By Frank Ocean's Cousin Over Recording Studio Brawl
A new week means fresh drama for R&B singer Chris Brown.
After suffering a non-epileptic seizure while at a Los Angeles recording studio on Friday, Breezy is now facing a lawsuit from a cousin of fellow singer Frank Ocean, Sha'Keir Duarte.
According to Contact Music, Duarte is suing Brown, claiming that Brown's bodyguard attacked him during a fight that happened between the Ocean and Brown entourages in January.
The incident happened on Jan. 27, when Brown and Ocean, along with their respective crews, got into a fight outside an L.A. recording studio. USA Today reports that the fight started after Brown took Ocean's parking spot outside the studio.
According to Duarte, Brown's bodyguard "Hood" beat him during the altercation, leaving him badly injured. He says he was permanently disabled by the attack and suffered a concussion and mental anguish as well.
Duarte also claims in the suit that Brown threatened the use of a gun in the fight and that "Hood" hit him in the body 12 times and the head numerous times as well.
But according to Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, the case is nothing but another pointless attack on the star, saying he will work to have the suit dismissed as well as countersue Duarte.
Charges were never filed in the altercation after Ocean said online that he wouldn't pursue any form of legal action.
