Thor’s hammers can only be lifted by those deemed worthy such as Captain America and the god of thunder himself. But it may have just met another match — Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky.

The “Avengers” star recently opened up about how he and his family are settling in amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Hemsworth also admitted to keeping memorabilia from his own films, like his Thor hammer Stormbreaker.

"I usually take one of the weapons [from] each film," Hemsworth revealed during his interview with People. "I've got it in a sort of TV lounge room."

But while the “Avengers: Endgame” star was talking about his guilty pleasure regarding his character’s famous hammers, the actor highlighted that his wife wasn’t very pleased with having them in the house.

"It gets denigrated and moved to the garage quite often and then it finds its way back out over the mantelpiece and my wife's like, 'Why?' And I was like, 'The kids did it, the kids did it.' It's a constant negotiation,” Hemsworth shared.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth also shared the same story during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live! (Home Edition)” on Wednesday (April 22). The actor disclosed that he often uses one of the hammers for display, only to find it transferred back and forth from different locations.

"I put it on the mantelpiece, my wife puts it back into the cupboard. I'll put it on display in the kitchen — it goes back into the cupboard," he explained.

The 36-year-old “Thor” actor is currently self-isolating in his hometown of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia along with his wife, Elsa, and his three children — daughter India, 7, and 6-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan, whom they also homeschool.

Although the “Thor” actor’s hammers don’t get a vote from his own wife, Hemsworth’s kids don’t really find them a problem. In fact, they love having the hammers around so much that they would try to pick them up just like their father did in his movies.

“They're pretty heavy, so they try to pick it up and they're like, 'Dad, look, I can lift the hammer,' and then put it back down," the actor said.

As for their current stay-at-home situation, Hemsworth appears to be doing well with his family amid the pandemic. The actor considers this circumstance as quality time he can spend with his wife and kids after a slew of non-stop movies and projects.
