Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky made a subtle dig at Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had an on-again, off-again relationship. They finally tied the knot on Dec. 23, 2018. However, just months after they got married, the couple split again.

Pataky was asked by Spanish outlet Hola how her brother-in-law was doing after his high-profile split from the “Malibu” singer. Chris’ spouse revealed that Liam was still down and she took a subtle dig at Cyrus by saying that Liam deserves better.

“My brother-in-law, well … After a relationship that you’ve dedicated ten years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best,” Pataky said. “I think he deserves much better,” she continued.

Liam and Cyrus announced their separation in August. Since then, the singer has entered into two very public romances. First with reality star Kaitlynn Carter and now with Australian singer Cody Simpson.

On the other hand, Liam has remarkably low profile. He only posts occasionally on social media. He was spotted in September on an exclusive private island with his brother Chris and sister-in-law Elsa.

Cyrus and Simpson are still dating despite reports claiming that they have already ended their relationship for the former to focus on herself. An insider said that Cyrus still keeps in touch with Cody after resting from her vocal surgery.

“They reunited and you could see how happy they were to be back together again. It’s clear they are very into each other,” the source said.

“She has a busy schedule and a lot of work commitments that have kept them apart. But when they are together there’s no doubt they are crazy about each other.”

In related news, there were rumors that Angelina Jolie was causing marital problems between Chris and Pataky. Jolie and Hemsworth sparked a frenzy again when they shared the stage at the San Diego Comic Con for their Marvel projects. The two stars first made headlines when they were photographed together at the Golden Globes.

Chris explained that the people just cropped the picture to only show him and the “Maleficent” star. In the original photo, “Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi is actually with Chris and Jolie. The actor added that his wife would be more jealous of Waititi than Jolie.
