Chris Martin Reveals Dakota Johnson Introduced Him To Gadget For His Deaf Fans [Watch]

Chris Martin opened up about how his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, introduced him to a gadget that helped his deaf fans enjoy concerts in a better way.

The 45-year-old singer appeared on Wednesday's "CBS Mornings," and shared how Johnson helped him with the idea of wearable, bass-delivering vests called Subpacs.

"My partner [Johnson], she said, ‘I got you a Christmas present, a Subpac," Martin recalled. "She said, ‘It’s like what Finneas [Eilish] wears on stage when he’s with Billie [Eilish].’ And it vibrates, so it’s useful for someone like Finneas to hear where the one is on the bass drum."

Martin explained his fans could use this gadget to feel the waves during the ongoing concert, and added his band, Coldplay, also provided interpreters at their concerts.

"Grammy-winning band @coldplay is working on making music more inclusive," CBS Mornings' official Twitter handle captioned the video. "They're advocating for those who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, saying it makes them 'emotional' to hear about fans experiencing live music they didn’t previously have access to."

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.

The official Instagram handle of the band shared a post regarding their partnership with the brand in May.

"We want our live shows to be as inclusive and accessible as possible," they wrote at that time, with a clip from their concert.

Martin and Johnson began dating in 2018. The couple has pretty much remained private about their relationship. However, last year, Johnson had opened up about her relationship with the singer, and said, "It’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private."
