While cheating wasn’t listed as a reason for Chris Pratt’s split from Anna Faris, Twitter users couldn’t help but assume the rumored affair between Pratt and “Passengers” co-star Jennifer Lawrence led to the demise of Faris’ 8-year marriage. Many cited Pratt’s weight loss as the reason he apparently cheated on Faris.

Two years ago, Faris responded to rumors her husband cheated on her with J-Law. In fact, she was hurt by the infidelity accusations.

“[That] stung a little bit harder than I thought it would,” Faris admitted to Us Weekly. “I thought, ‘Maybe there is a kernel of truth to that.’”

Pratt was also surprised by the rumor. “For us, it was like, ‘What the heck,” Faris, 40, recalled. “This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.”

Ultimately, however, she didn’t believe the rumors. “I am very lucky that I am with a man [who] values family,” she said.

She even made a joke about Pratt cheating on her with his other co-star: Blue, a raptor Pratt’s character, Owen, trained in “Jurassic World.”

“@prattprattpratt- honey, what if I'm the littlest jealous of Blue? I mean, she's hot, smart, and you clearly adore her-thoughts?” she quipped in June 2015.

During a Reddit AMA in April 2015, the actor told fans he and his wife were meant for each other. “Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life,” he wrote.

One of the things the couple has in common, aside from their 4-year-old son Jack, is their love for the Seattle Seahawks football team. “She and I grew up 20 minutes away from each other but never met until we met in [Los Angeles],” he added in the Reddit AMA.

The couple announced their split via Facebook Sunday.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” Pratt wrote. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
