Chris Pratt shared how his sunburn put a damper on his honeymoon with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger

The “Passengers” actor appeared on the Wednesday episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” During his guesting, Pratt talked about his honeymoon with Schwarzenegger last year and how getting a sunburn badly affected it. Pratt shared a snap of his burnt body on Instagram in June 2019.

“You’ll notice the butt. That’s the color I typically am,” Pratt told DeGeneres.

“I don’t know what I was thinking. I think it’s this. Over the last five years, I’ve been doing all of these movies. And in those movies, I look so tan, but I forget that it’s sprayed on. And I thought, ‘I’m gonna get myself a little color,' and I laid out and that took no more than nine minutes.”

Pratt recalled that they were in a tropical location and his wife insisted that he had to put on SPF, but he declined. Everything happened too fast.

DeGeneres then said it must have “put a damper” on his honeymoon and Pratt agreed saying that he wore his shirt on for the rest of the trip.

“Everything, shirt on. Every activity that happens on a honeymoon: shirt on,” Pratt said. “Yea, really sexy.”

Pratt was previously married to Anna Faris. The couple announced their separation in August 2017. They shared their joint statement on their social media accounts.

“We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together,” Pratt and Faris said.

In December 2017, Pratt filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” for their split. Faris immediately responded and claimed the same thing.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger were spotted in June 2018 picnicking together in Santa Barbara, Cosmopolitan reported. A source told People that it was her mother who set her up with the actor. At the time, they already had multiple dates. A month after, Pratt and Schwarzenegger were photographed kissing after attending a church service with his son, Jack.

They made their relationship official on Dec. 14, 2018. After a month, they announced their engagement and the two tied the knot on June 10, 2019.
