Chris Pratt Was 'Nervous' Asking Arnold Schwarzenegger Permission To Marry His Daughter
Chris Pratt’s engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger was recently announced, and the two are busy with wedding preparations. But before the actor popped the big question, he went the traditional route and asked for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s permission for his daughter’s hand in marriage. And Pratt apparently felt nervous during the ordeal.
In an interview with "Extra," Pratt said that any person who uses the traditional approach of asking a father’s permission before proposing to his daughter will “inevitably” be “a little nervous.” However, the actor is happy with his decision, and he called his nervousness the “beauty” of the situation.
Arnold also couldn’t be any happier about his future son-in-law. As the interviewer pointed out, the “Terminator” actor is happy to welcome Pratt into the family.
In an interview with "Extra TV," a video of which has been posted on YouTube, Schwarzenegger pointed out that both his daughter and her fiancé are “so happy” together. He added that he told Pratt that he is such a “likeable guy.”
When asked about Pratt asking for his permission, Schwarzenegger said that the young actor went the traditional way. The former politician added that Pratt is a “wonderful guy” and wished the couple the best of luck.
Pratt is currently promoting his new animation flick, “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.” As for his and Katherine Schwarzenegger's wedding, the actor said in an interview with US Weekly that they are currently exploring wedding dates, which will be either in the fall or winter.
Although the timeline that Pratt revealed is a long one that spans from September this year to March 2020, the actor said that they have a lot to get done in the meantime for the big day. They also have some idea about the wedding theme, but that may be revealed only in the coming months.
