Chrissy Teigen Shares Inside Look At Her Cooking During Quarantine
Chrissy Teigen is “hungry for more” of her own family cooking. The 34-year-old former model and mother of two has been using her quality time at home during the coronavirus pandemic to try out some new recipes and bringing back a few of her favorite classics.
“It’s that throwback chicken,” she said in a Twitter post on Sunday, handing husband John Legend a plate of “Chipotle pantry” chicken with mango salsa. The chicken was one of the more recent recipes that she has posted.
In her Instagram Story, she shared footage of the same dish, saying that while the chicken looked “like [expletive]” when it first came out of the oven, it’s “great.”
Teigen has often used social media as a way to discuss with fans her love of cooking, and share tips, recipes and behind the scenes looks at her own creations.
In recent weeks, as Teigen and Legend practice social distancing by remaining in their home, she has more frequently shared her chef explorations with fans.
“Oatmeal crumble apple pie with vanilla cream made with my own bare hands,” she wrote on the video she shared of her dessert on Monday.

Along with the pie and chipotle chicken, Teigen has also shared videos and photos of a homemade BLT sandwich, “mom’s scalloped potatoes,” and her first attempt at making the chipotle chicken in which she joked she “gave up” and ordered McDonald's instead.
😂 I got wine drunk, gave up and ordered McDonald’s. Gonna marinate the chicken overnight instead https://t.co/icDAOiQB80

Teigen’s social posts came after the release of two cookbooks. The first, “Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat,” was published in 2016, and the second, “Cravings: Hungry for More,” debuted in 2018.
The first book delved into her heritage with Thai recipes from her mother and more classic recipes like fried chicken and Brussel sprouts. The second cookbook explored a wider range of different kinds of recipes for "lighter, brighter, healthier-ish living."
