Chrissy Teigen’s Cookware Line Cravings Dropped By Macy’s Amid Courtney Stodden Bullying Scandal
Model Chrissy Teigen’s cookware line Cravings is no longer available for purchase online at Macy’s after reality television star Courtney Stodden called out the “Lip Sync Battle” alum about bullying her in the past.
The online presence of Teigen’s cookware line at Macy’s began to dwindle Sunday when items of the line were marked “unavailable.” By Monday, all traces of the model’s collection were scrubbed from the website.
While the cookware brand still auto-populates in the search bar on Macy’s, customers who click on an option associated with Teigen’s brand receive a message stating, “We couldn’t find a match for your search.”
Instead, shoppers are presented with cookware options from Rachael Ray, KitchenAid, Sedona, and more.
The removal of Teigen’s line comes after Target pulled the model’s line from its website. However, a spokesperson told Fox Business that the move was based on the end of the cookware brand’s exclusivity to Target.
“We made the mutual decision in December to no longer carry the cookware line, given our continued focus on brands we develop and that can only be found at Target,” the rep said.
Last week, Teigen issued a public apology to Stodden, who accused her of bullying while she was a teen and claimed the model encouraged her to kill herself by taking a “dirt nap.”
“I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior, but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel,” Teigen stated.
The model continued, “I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am.”
Although Stodden accepted Teigen’s apology, she expressed doubts about whether the model was being sincere or trying to save her partnerships.
