Courtney Stodden's Net Worth Examined Following Brian Austin Green Dating Rumors, Divorce
Courtney Stodden has continued to remain a fixture in the news for a range of reasons over the years. Following her marriage to actor Doug Hutchinson, which took place when she was 16 years old, and eventual divorce, Stodden has continued to make a name for herself in the entertainment business. Now, last week, she was spotted with actor Brian Austin Green following his separation from Megan Fox. So, how much is the reality star worth today?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Stodden is worth an estimated $500K. After dropping out of high school at the age of 16, she began pursuing a career in entertainment. Initially, she had an interest in becoming a pop or country singer, but she started taking acting lessons over the Internet as well, which is how she met Hutchinson. As stated by the publication, "The Green Mile" actor, who was 51 at the time, was initially unaware of Stodden's age but received permission from her parents to continue the relationship.
Following their marriage in 2011, Stodden and Hutchinson appeared on a variety of reality shows, including Season 2 of VH1's "Couples Therapy." She later appeared on various TV shows outside of her marriage as well. After competing on "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2013, she then starred on other shows, such as "Hollywood Hillbillies" in 2014 and "Celebs Go Dating" in 2017. She also lent her talents to the 2016 film "Love Addict," and appeared on her own reality show in 2019 titled "Courtney."
Aside from her focus on reality TV, she also continued to pursue a musical career. After putting out songs such as "Mistletoe Bikini" and "Don't Put It On Me Girl," Stodden went on to release "Butterfly" in April. Following the recent single, Stodden uploaded a YouTube video, which can be seen below, that gave her fans an update on her upcoming tell-all that she has been working on during quarantine.
As for how she spends her money, little is known about her financial history. However, Stodden briefly discussed her financial situation with TMZ amid her divorce from Hutchinson in 2018. At that time, she stated that the former couple had not had a prenup in place prior to their separation and that many assumed she had filed the divorce papers incorrectly due to the fact that she had not asked for spousal support.
"I didn't marry him for his money. He hardly had any when I married him, and there was a big misconception about he was this rich sugar daddy," she told TMZ, adding, "In reality, I was kind of the breadwinner for a while in our relationship."
Stodden, as previously mentioned, is now speculated to be dating Green, though some sources claim the two are just friends. In comparison to Stodden's finances, the "Beverly Hills, 90201" actor and Fox, his estranged wife, are said to be worth a combined estimated $10M.
