Christina Aguilera makes $225,000 per episode on “The Voice”
Critics raved about NBC's latest singing competition The Voice.
Recently, The Hollywood Reporter gathered a number of fun facts about the how, its judges, producers, contestants and host.
The most interesting fact is that Christina Aguilera is the most paid judge out of the group. She earns $225,000 per episode. The male judges, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levin and Blake Shelton make much less: $75,000 per episode.
All judges are expected to return for Season 2 of The Voice. The report says that Season 2 will feature more audition shows, more contestant backstory development and a possible tour and album, just like rival show American Idol has.
The report claimed that NBC executive Paul Telegdy turned to Mark Burnett, who is best known for his work on Survivor to produce a show that felt like an arena experience for a music fan.
The show is hosted by Carson Daly, who was the first to sign on. The report claimed that casting the coaches was the most difficult part. Among the contenders was John Mayer.
