Christina Perri has lost her baby girl two weeks after she was hospitalized due to pregnancy complications.
On Tuesday, the "A Thousand Years" hitmaker, 34, took to social media and shared a heartbreaking photo of herself and husband Paul Costabile holding their daughter's hand. In her post, Perri said that their baby was "born silent."
"last night we lost our baby girl. she was born silent after fighting so hard to make it to our world. she is at peace now and will live forever in our hearts," she wrote on Instagram and Twitter.
Perri's followers and fellow celebrities flooded her posts with supportive messages. They sent their love and prayers to the grieving mom and her husband.
"Oh my mama. I’m beyond sorry for your loss. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Holding your family in my heart," Amanda Kloots commented on Instagram.
"You are going through the unthinkable so you can guide other women through the same. Your beautiful baby will love through your heart forever. You are a light for so many. Keep speaking your truth. Love you," Sarah Coleman wrote.

Last week, Perri announced that her baby needed surgery due to an intestinal issue. She was hospitalized earlier this month due to pregnancy complications, Insider reported.
Chrissy Teigen also lost her son, Jack, back in September due to pregnancy complications. Two months after losing her third child, the model suggested that she's still not doing fine.
"one day I will tell you the recent story of the hardest 4 days of my life. for now, here’s me needing my mommy," Teigen wrote on Instagram Saturday, alongside a photo of her hugging her mom.
