Christina And Tarek El Moussa Update: ‘Flip Or Flop’ Star Posted Instagram Photo About Parenting Before Breakup

“Flip or Flop” star Tarek El Moussa focused on being a good father before he publicly announced his split from Christina, his wife of 7 years, Monday. The HGTV host took to Instagram to post a photo about parenting.

The picture was of the book “10 Things Great Dads Do: Strategies For Raising Great Kids.” The cover shows a father looking up at a child sitting on his shoulders. “Raising kids is the most important thing a parent can do,” he captioned the image Sunday. “Like anything in life, the harder you work at it the better they will be! I #LOVE THEM!” The post was like hundreds of times by his 74,300 followers. Most commenters wrote they were sorry to hear about his separation from Christina.

Last week he shared a picture of his 1-year-old son, Brayden, laughing in the lap of 6-year-old daughter Taylor. “I can't.... I just can't… Lol these two are #adorable!! They #absolutely #love each other so much!!” Tarek said. “So fun hanging with them and watching them play!”

The last photo Christina shared was of their two children, too. Taylor and Brayden held hands as they sat on Santa’s lap. Christina didn’t caption Sunday’s picture with words, only using emoji to express herself. By Tuesday, it was liked more than 26,000 times by her 561,000 followers.

Over the past several weeks, Christina and Tarek filled their Instagram pages with pictures of their children, but there aren't any personal pictures of each other. The only time Tarek and Christina were in a photo together was to promote “Flip or Flop.”

HGTV wants to continue the real estate reality show, even though the El Moussas are having marital problems. “We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina's great work on ‘Flip or Flop,’” the network said in an official statement. “When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of ‘Flip or Flop’ and the series will continue production as scheduled.”
