‘Christmas Around The Corner’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Alexandra Breckenridge and Jamie Spilchuk star in Lifetime’s newest original holiday movie, “Christmas Around the Corner,” which airs Friday night. The cast also includes Jane Alexander.

This will be the “This Is Us” actress’ first TV Christmas movie, but that’s not the case for her love interest in the flick. Spilchuk had a supporting role in Hallmark’s “Christmas in Love” just last month. What will be in store for them as they both take the lead in Friday’s Lifetime Christmas movie? Let’s take a look.

“Claire (Breckenridge), a savvy venture capitalist from New York City, escapes to a quaint town in Vermont for the holidays and becomes a guest of the Fortenbury Bookstore,” the synopsis reveals. “Upon arrival, Claire finds Christmas celebrations have been canceled by the town after a flood and the bookstore is in a dire state of disrepair. She immediately takes on the challenge to revitalize the store, but clashes with the owner, Andrew (Spilchuk), who initially rejects all her proposed improvements.”

The synopsis continues: “Eventually, sparks fly as the two begin a budding romance, and Claire’s infectious optimism inspires Andrew to join her in reviving the yuletide spirit. But everything comes to a screeching halt when Claire discovers that Andrew is planning to sell the bookstore in the New Year. Will the spirit of Christmas be enough to change Andrew’s mind and encourage him to follow his heart?”

Danielle Von Zerneck’s the executive producer of the film, while Megan Follows directed it from a script written by Michael Murray.

“Christmas Around the Corner” premieres on Friday on Lifetime at 8 p.m. EST.
