A cocktail may be in order after unwrapping all those presents on Christmas Day. Luckily, holiday observers in New York won’t have to search too hard to find a bar to quench their yuletide thirst, because plenty of establishments in the Big Apple will be open on Christmas.

Boulton & Watt: Since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, patrons visiting the bar and restaurant can get extra merry with Bloody Mary’s, mimosas and glasses of sangria for just $6. The gastropub also offers a variety of holiday-friendly cocktails like the Gift Shop, made with Remy Martin 1738, Gran Classico, honey and Angostura Bitters. For heavy drinkers, Boulton & Watt also serves delectable bites like crispy chicken sliders, fried calamari and brats in a blanket to help soak up all the booze.
Fools Gold: How about washing down that hearty Christmas dinner with specialty cocktails on tap like apple cider and Pisco Porton infused Orchard or Templeton Rye? Open from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Location: 145 East Houston Street
Nitehawk: For some families, going to the movies after Christmas dinner is a tradition. Nitehawk, New York’s first dine-in theater, is taking that tradition to a whole new level when it hosts screenings of “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “Christmas Vacation” on Christmas Day. Viewers can munch on fish and chips while sipping on cocktails like The Claudia Marie, made with New England Distilling Gin, fresh grapefruit, Bushwick Salted Honey, thyme and soda water, all while kicking back and watching a movie. O’Donoghue’s Bar & Restaurant: Not only can patrons throw down on draft beer options like Goose Island IPA, Yuengling and Angry Orchard Cider, but hungry drinkers can also feast at the pub thanks to a special holiday prix-fixe menu O’Donoghue’s is offering only on Christmas Day. The bar is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Location: 156 W 44th St
Two E Bar and Lounge: For fancier diners looking to indulge in a little champagne on Christmas, Two E is just the place. The bar will host tea service, featuring a variety of sandwiches, scones and pastries accompanied by a pot of tea or a bottle of Moët Chandon Rose Champagne or Taittinger Brut Champagne. The lounge will be open for afternoon tea from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with cocktail service operating from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Location: 2 East 61st Street
