‘Christmas Sail’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “Christmas Sail.” The film, starring Katee Sackhoff and Patrick Sabongui, premieres Sunday night.
The film will be a treat for Hallmark fans who aren’t familiar with Sackhoff, who is making her debut on Hallmark in this film. Previous roles include Niko Breckenridge on “Another Life,” Bo-Katan on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and Victoria Moretti on “Longmire.”
Sabongui, who also starred as David Singh on “The Flash” and Chad Wiley on “Firefly Lane,” is someone Hallmark fans may recognize, as previous roles for the network included “Love on the Sidelines,” “All of My Heart: Inn Love” and “All of My Heart: The Wedding.”
Terry O’Quinn (“Lost”) also stars.
So what will happen in this film? Let’s find out.
“When single mom Liz Darling (Sackhoff) finds out her estranged father, Dennis (O’Quinn) has been injured in a minor accident, she returns to her hometown of Portside for her first Christmas in years,” a synopsis reads. “Not much has changed except for Luke (Sabongui), her childhood best friend, who’s definitely not the same boy she remembers.”
As Liz sets out to take her unexpected trip home and share the magical Christmas celebrations of her past with her own daughter, she is also confronted with reminders of the past and the town’s Christmas Eve Sailboat Parade of Lights that her family stopped participating in after her mother died. However, when she learns of a new tragedy that could be facing her father, Liz decides to bring the tradition back into their family’s lives.
“When Liz discovers he may lose their family home, she comes up with a plan: enlist Luke’s help to fix up the boat and create a floating light display spectacular enough to win the parade’s $25,000 grand prize,” the synopsis reads. “Unbeknownst to her, Luke has a plan of his own that may finally win her heart.”
“Christmas Sail” airs Sunday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
