‘A Christmas Treasure’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “A Christmas Treasure.” The film, starring Jordin Sparks and Michael Xavier, premieres Sunday night.
While fans are in for a special treat because they likely know Sparks, who rose to fame after winning Season 6 of “American Idol,” and is known for hit songs like “No Air,” “Tattoo” and “Battlefield,” this is her first movie for Hallmark. She is also not the only face that is relatively new to the network either.
While Xavier did star in Hallmark’s “Christmas Comes Twice,” he is likely most well-recognized for his plethora of other holiday films on other networks. He has starred not only in “Christmas On Wheels” and “Radio Christmas” for Lifetime, but also “Christmas Inheritance” on Netflix.
So what will happen when these two team up for their first project together? Let’s find out.
“Christmas in Pine Grove will be extra special this holiday season as the Webb family plans to open a 100-year-old time capsule that was buried when the town was founded,” a synopsis reads. “While enjoying all the town’s festivities surrounding the big reveal and continuing to work at her family’s newspaper, Lou (Sparks) finalizes her plans to further her writing career by moving to New York after Christmas.”
However, following the big event, Lou finds her grandfather’s old journal, which leads her to start questioning her plans. When she also strikes up some chemistry with someone new as well, she will only further begin to wonder what her future really holds.
“She begins to question whether she should move or stay in Pine Grove to carry on her family’s legacy,” the synopsis reads. “Having also met charming chef, Kyle (Xavier), who is also at a crossroads while visiting Pine Grove for the holidays, only makes Lou doubt the future she planned even more.”
Will Lou go through with her original plans, or can she be convinced to stay?
“A Christmas Treasure” airs Sunday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
