Christy Carlson Romano is getting candid about her poor financial choices and how she lost the millions of dollars she had made as a child star.

Romano was among Disney's biggest stars in the early 2000s, starring in the "Even Stevens" franchise and voicing the titular character of "Kim Possible." She also made several movies, including "Cadet Kelly," "Mirrors 2," "The Cutting Edge" and "Taking Five," along with scoring record and book deals.

However, in a video uploaded on Romano's YouTube channel, she made it clear that she is no longer a millionaire. "This is how I blew all my Disney money," she began in the clip.

Romano said she started making money when she was 16 but claimed that at that point, she was never told how much she was making or advised on how to manage it.

"My biggest thing about child actors, you aren’t told that the work is going to slow down," she was quoted by Us Weekly as saying. "In fact, I was told the opposite, specifically by my mom, some of my team, even my money manager at the time."

The Broadway alum admitted that she regrets "not investing my money wisely" and revealed that she didn't even buy a house at the height of her career.

"I didn't take any money and store it away other than the Coogan money," Romano said, referencing the trust account that holds a percentage of a child actor's wages by law.

Initially, she had planned to use her money to pay for college at 18, but she left school a year and a half in and began spending her money unwisely.

"I was never told how much money I was making," she confessed. "Money didn’t have a purpose for me, I didn’t really know what it was. I just knew that I had it and didn’t care about it. That’s a problem."

Romano parted ways with her family when she was 21 because she didn't like how they were managing her finances. The "Campus Confidential" star then revealed that she started buying things she thought would make her feel better, including "big-ticket" items and designer clothing. She also purchased a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon and a ’72 Corvette, which she spent money fixing up but "never even drove."

"I was using buying things and money as a weapon," she explained. "Like, if I could just buy certain things I would feel better or if I just lived a certain lifestyle, I would be closer to that joy of feeling accepted and a lot less alone."

When Romano eventually went back to school, she had to use not only a grant to cover parts of her tuition but student loans as well. She now has two daughters with husband Brendan Rooney — Isabella, 4, and Sophia, 2, whom she hopes to raise to know better, especially when it comes to financial matters.

Despite claims on Google that her current net worth is $3 million, Romano explained, "I am not a millionaire in any way, shape or form. I’m just a mom monetizing my channel, doing sponsored content, having fun, working when I can."

As for her advice for fans, she encouraged viewers to "build small and make sure that you're doing things that are smart, that can make you money, not break you and enjoy the things that are not expensive."
