The CIA on Thursday launched an Instagram account and their first post was quite interesting. The U.S. spy agency posted a photo of a desk with all sorts of knick-knacks serving as clues, such as a wig and a paper bag labeled "Top Secret Pulp."

The caption read, "I spy with my little eye..."

The post challenges its more than 6,000 followers to spot items on the desk that are significant to the CIA.

Some of the other items include an identification badge, a map, an old-fashioned desk clock and books. The CIA also posted the same picture on Facebook, where it has over 870,000 followers.

In a statement, a CIA spokesperson said, "Joining Instagram is another way we're sharing CIA's stories and recruiting talented Americans to serve here. Through the account, we'll give a peek into Agency life, but we can't promise any selfies from secret locations."

"Our team worked with the CIA, as they do with many partners, to provide best practices and guidance when it comes to launching an Instagram account," an Instagram spokesperson told "The Verge" on Monday.

The CIA has a Twitter account that was launched in February 2014. It has 2.58 million followers.
