Is Ciara Having A Boy? Pregnant Singer Talks About Baby's Gender And Pregnancy

Ciara confirmed Tuesday on "The View" that she's pregnant with her first child after months of sparking speculation with her fashion choices. The 28-year-old R&B singer shared many photos on her Instagram page, primarily showing herself in baggy clothes that hid her stomach, prompting fans to question whether she was hiding a baby bump.

Ciara, who wore a brown dress, held her baby bump on national television -- she appears to be at least 3 or 4 months along. After "The View," Ciara stopped by Huffington Post Live and answered questions about her pregnancy, including the baby's gender.

When asked about her pregnancy, she said, “It really is a blessing. It’s the most exciting time in my life. I’m really excited, like a little kid. You know when the kids are getting ready for Christmas and you can’t wait to see what’s under the tree?”

Afterward, she hinted at expecting a boy. “I did have a preference before I found out what it was. I had a preference at first and it was different than what I thought, but my fiancé got what he wanted.”

Her fiancé, rapper/producer Future, already has three children -- an 11-year-old son, a 4–year-old girl, and a 1-year-old son Prince -- by three different women. This will be his fourth child.

The 30-year-old rapper asked Ciara to be his wife several months ago. After the surprise proposal, Ciara tweeted, "Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver [sic]," and “If I’m Dreaming I Don’t Want to Wake up!”

Though Ciara and Future just got engaged in October, it seemed like their union was in the making for years. Future told Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez during an interview in August that he knew Ciara was the one for him when he saw her seven years ago at a video shoot. "For it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be," he said. "This is the one.”

The two also have matching tattoos. Future tattooed a “C” on his ring finger in May, and Ciara has an “N” on hers, which stands for his real name, Nayvadius. The pair has been dating for a little over a year.
