'Clash Royale' New Season Brings New Arena, Rewards, Features; Lunar Festival Launched
KEY POINTS
- "Clash Royale" Clashmas finally comes to an end
- The seventh season of "Clash Royale" finally arrives under the theme Lunar Festival
- The latest "Clash Royale" season introduces new arena, new rewards, and other features
The newest season of the popular game “Clash Royale” marks the end of the Christmas celebrations of the last season of 2019 titled Clashmas. The seventh season introduces a new arena, new rewards, and several other features to the mobile title. Lunar Festival has now started giving players more reasons to celebrate and play the game.
Following the release of the Battle healer in “Clash Royale” season six, the team behind the popular game introduces the new Firecracker card. It is one of the most talked-about changes in the latest season. A very common and cheap card shoots a firecracker that blows up and creates damages to anyone behind the target.
Initially, the Firecracker resembles “Clash Royale’s” the Hunter. However, players must not be fooled as the card functions differently. It is highly effective against troop cards, particularly those deployed along with a tanky card to protect them. But, it is not that easy to use the card since it has a massive recoil after every shot.
The Firecracker in “Clash Royale” contains the same amount of hitpoints as the Archer and seems solid to counter decks. It is unlockable through the in-game challenge of “Clash Royale” at the moment. In addition to the Firecracker the season seven of “Clash Royale” introduces a new pass royale with 35 tiers giving rewards in the form of chests.
A new emote dedicated to the Firecracker along with the new tower skin that looks like a Lunar Lantern is also available this season. Some balance changes are also deployed in the latest update of “Clash Royale” to shift the meta for the new year. Night Witch is now nerfed with its initial Bat Spawn speed reduced to 3.5s and slower First Hit of -17 percent.
Elixir Golem was also nerfed and now has six percent lesser hit points. The latest “Clash Royale” update meanwhile buffed the Lava Hound. Its range is now increased to 3.5. Rebalances are applied to Fisherman and Pups. Pups now have +67 percent damage, -70 percent hit speed, with its range decreased by 0.4. Fisherman’s Hook Range is increased to seven and Charge Time to 1.5s.
Aside from these changes, a new arena surfaced at the Legendary level, which is between 4,000 and 5,000 crowns. It is the first “Clash Royale” arena of the Challenger level beyond the Spooky Town. The Lunar New Year will be on Jan. 25, and the latest season of “Clash Royale” will last for 27 days.
