The 2012 Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival came to a close on Sunday with some 225,000 people in attendance over the three-day event. Over 143 bands took the stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. where Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and a hologram of Tupac Shakur closed the show in what possibly will go down in history as the greatest close at Coachella.

What up, Coachella! a hologram of Tupac exclaimed on the stage Sunday night, joining Dre and Snoop Dogg. Despite the fact the rapper has been dead for over 15 years, the holographic image of Tupac was almost too life-like to believe. A shirtless, acid wash jeans-wearing Tupac joined Snoop for 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, rapping Come With Me, Hail Mary and Gangsta Party.

Throughout the performance, Twitter was abuzz with the presence of Tupac, some of which who were celebrities in awe of the deceased rapper.

#TupacBACK #unbelievable #IWASTHERE #STORY4myGrandKidz, Rihanna tweeted, which was then retweeted by Snoop.

That Pac Hologram haunted me in my sleep. Rest In Peace 2Pac.......#OkIWill !!!!!!!!!! Questlove of The Roots joined in.

Eminem also joined Snoop and Dre for I Need a Doctor and Forgot About Dre and performed Til I Collapse on his own. Wiz Khalifa smoking a giant-sized joint made an appearance to join Snoop in Young, Wilf & Free.

I Performed Wit Dr Dre And Snoop Dogg!!! I Looked Ratchet :-) Wiz tweeted after the show.

The lineup also included Tony Yayo, Warren G, Kurupt and 50 Cent who brought back his 2003 hit In Da Club.

The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival, organized by Goldenvoice since it began in 1999, went off without a hitch though the Hollywood Reporter said that 98 people were arrested on alcohol or drug-related charges, according to Indio Police. Beginning next year, the festival will be held over two weekends instead of one.
