“Code Black” Season 2, episode 10 will introduce Will Campbell’s (Boris Kodjoe) daughter.

In the synopsis for “Ave Maria,” a 13-year-old girl is rushed to Angels Memorial following a seizure, and she's later revealed to be Campbell’s daughter. In the teaser released by CBS, the teenager asks her father if she is going to die. While Dr. Leanne (Marcia Gay Harden) is confident that they can save the life of his child, it seems that Will will be doubtful due to the seriousness of her condition. Dr. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) also tries to persuade Will to allow him to help his daughter. Since he will be running out of options, he will most likely agree.

Meanwhile, “The Fosters” recurring guest star Marlee Matlin will also make an appearance in the upcoming episode of “Code Black” Season 2. The actress will play the role of a deaf character who will seek help from the doctors of Angels Memorial. Her difficult procedure will put all of the residents to the test.

In other news, “Code Black” Season 2 has been receiving steady ratings throughout the past couple of weeks. Last week, the series received a total of 6.2 million viewers or a 0.9 rating. Initially, some viewers were worried about the fate of the show after two of its cast members from Season 1 were axed.

Earlier this year, it was announced that series regulars Raza Jaffrey and Bonnie Somerville will no longer be part of Season 2. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the move was part of a creative decision by the producers to help re-launch the series, so it could reach a wider audience.

“Code Black” Season 2, episode 10 will air on Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
