College Admissions Scandal Update: Lori Loughlin 'Celebrated' Ahead Of 2020 Trial
As Lori Loughlin heads towards her October 2020 trial, she is being "celebrated" in new ways.
In 2019, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying William "Rick" Singer $500,000 so that their daughters, Olivia Jade and Bella Rose, could attend the University of Southern California (USC). After the allegations, they were each charged with mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery.
Now, the "Fuller House" actress is getting a bit of positive attention leading up to her court dates.
According to Yahoo!, Bella shared a picture of her mom for International Women's Day on March 8. The post, which appeared on the 21-year-old's Instagram Story, included a throwback photo of the "When Calls the Heart" star and the caption "To my woman today and every day."
The recent picture marks the first time that Bella has shared anything about Loughlin since returning to Instagram. Previously, she had taken a four-month break from social media following the allegations that both her parents faced regarding the admissions scam.
Olivia Jade also indicated in a short clip posted to her YouTube channel in December that she too felt a sense of hesitation before returning to the streaming site. At that time, her decision to come back into public view reportedly not only caused friction with Loughlin but also resulted in a bit of criticism from those outside her family. Additionally, sources indicated that the short clip was not only coached but that the content of the video had also been discussed previously.
As for Loughlin herself, it has been said that she has started taking steps behind the scenes in an attempt to prepare for her upcoming trial. Not only has it been said that she has started taking "important" and "grueling" steps before her "possible showdown" in court, but others have said that she has additionally been working to prevent the prosecution from securing a conviction.
