College Admissions Scandal Update: Lori Loughlin's Former Co-Star Reveals Something 'Didn't Feel Right'
Lori Loughlin has faced quite a bit of criticism over the past year for her alleged participation in the college admissions scam, but now, one of her long-time supporters is speaking out about one of his "closest and dearest friends on the planet."
Loughlin's former "Fuller House" co-star Dave Coulier discussed what went on during the filming of the Netflix show's final season and how he currently feels about her.
"I can’t comment on it, but we love her dearly,” the actor told with Us Weekly while promoting the new season of "Worst Cooks in America."
In 2019, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying William "Rick" Singer $500,000 so that her daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, could attend the University of Southern California (USC). After the allegations, they were each charged with mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery.
Continuing, Coulier added that "the images that people see aren't always what is true" and that he believes it's "unfortunate that this has happened." Coulier then revealed that filming the last season of "Fuller House" without her was "sad" and "didn't feel right." Part two of the final season of will begin streaming on Netflix on June 2.
As for Loughlin herself, the Hallmark actress has reportedly started to prepare for her upcoming October trial behind the scenes with her legal team. Leading up to her court dates, it has been said that her "formidable" defense has changed their strategy and indicated that they believe they have a "secret weapon" that may ultimately prove her innocence.
Additionally, those representing the "When Calls the Heart" star have also received "sharp" criticism and have indicated that they do not want her case to be "tried" in a certain way.
