College Admissions Scandal Update: Olivia Jade Reappears Prior To Lori Loughlin's Trial
As Lori Loughlin prepares for her trial later this year, her daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, have returned to the public eye in an unexpected place.
In 2019, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying William "Rick" Singer $500,000 so that their daughters could attend the University of Southern California (USC). Following the allegations, they were each charged with mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery. They are now due to appear in court in October.
According to The Daily Mail, both Olivia and Isabella took to TikTok on Sunday where they danced in a short clip. This comes as the family self-isolates during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
As stated by the publication, the two danced to KIIINGSAM's song "The Drip," which has become a popular staple on the app. After the TikTok post, Olivia posted the video on her Instagram story and added "Follow my Tik Tok we've clearly lost our minds as u can see. Ok bye."
This return to the public eye follows the YouTuber's previous reemergence prior to the "Fuller House" star's trial regarding her alleged participation in the college admissions scam. In December 2019, Olivia returned to YouTube in a surprise clip.
That appearance, however, came with various pieces of criticism from both the public and the "When Calls the Heart" actress herself. Other reports indicated that it was coached and that the content of the video had been discussed beforehand.
As for Loughlin herself, it has been said that she has been working behind the scenes in order to properly prepare for her upcoming trial. Recent reports have indicated that not only has she been "quietly" taking various steps on her own, but that she has also actively worked to prevent the prosecution from "securing a conviction."
Additionally, her "formidable" defense has reportedly changed their strategy prior to her court dates and has indicated that they do not want their client to be "tried" in this way.
