The Mad Pooper from the cartoon series "Bob’s Burgers" might be more than just fiction, after it was reported Tuesday that the Colorado Springs police were looking for a woman jogger who has terrorized a family by repeatedly taking dumps outside their home.

Cathy Budde told reporters that her children were the first ones to catch the jogger defecating while squatting with her shorts down on their lawn.

“They are like, ‘There’s a lady taking a poop!’ So I come outside, and I’m like … ‘are you serious?’” she told KKTV.

She said she confronted the woman, asking, “Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids?”

“Yeah, sorry,'” the woman replied.

Budde and her children dubbed the jogger “The Mad Pooper."

Budde said she expected the jogger would be “mortified” over being seen and never run in the neighborhood again. However, that did not turn out to be the case.

The family kept finding a fresh pile of excrement and dirty napkins on the sidewalk in front of their home at least once every week. This has been going on since the last seven weeks, Budde said.

Budde has also caught the woman jogger mid-act three times.

Budde was once able to take a picture of the woman, who was wearing a gray tank top and shorts and appeared to be a brunette.

She then posted fliers addressed “to the female jogger that continuously uses our walkway as her toilet” all around her neighborhood requesting the woman to stop.

However, the pleas fell on deaf ears.

“It’s not like it’s private,” Budde told KKTV. “People can see you. I mean, we’re seeing her.”

The family said they were fed up and decided to inform the the Colorado Springs Police Department, which said the woman could face charges of indecent exposure and public defecation if they found her.

Lt. Howard Black of the department said that in his 35 years with the department, he had never seen a case like this or anything like the woman jogger.

“This has been comical, but I also don’t want to be flip about it,” Black told the Washington Post. “If it’s a mental health issue, she’ll still be held accountable, but we would want to get her help.”

Black said police have been trying to identify the woman, who they were notified about over the weekend. However, they are surprised and the case was somewhat mysterious as there were no shortages of bathrooms in the neighborhood.

Budde said there is a bathroom located across the street from their residence, porta-potties in a nearby park and one in a nearby gas station.

“This is intentional,” she told KKTV. She also said that the sidewalk is not the only place where the woman defecates, and her neighbors have told her the jogger dumps in the back yards of other houses and at a local Walgreens, a pharmacy store chain.

“I put a sign on the wall that’s like ‘please, I’m begging you, please stop,’ Budde said. “She ran by it like 15 times yesterday, and she still pooped.”

Police have asked anyone if they can identify the runner, to kindly call at 719-444-7240 and inform the department.

Since the incident has been covered by news outlets, social media has been flooded with memes about the "Mad Pooper," with some comparing her to the character in Bob's Burgers cartoon, who was also referred by the same name.
