Tinder Date Gets Trapped In Window While Trying To Grab Her Poop
Fire fighters rescued a woman who got trapped in a window while she attempted to retrieve feces she allegedly tossed out of her Tinder date’s window, according to reports. She apparently tried to discard the feces after it failed to flush down the toilet.
Liam Smith from Bristol, England started an online fundraising page to cover the damages his date allegedly caused to his apartment window. The two apparently met through the dating app Tinder and had retired back to Smith’s apartment after a trip to a local restaurant, according to Smith’s fundraising page. Local firefighting squad Avon Fire and Rescue confirmed to local newspaper Bristol Post that they received a call on Aug. 7 to Smith’s address.
"I was understandably concerned, and told her we would go outside, bag up the offending poo in the garden, bin it, and pretend the whole sorry affair had never happened," Smith wrote Tuesday on the fundraising page. "Unfortunately, the toilet window does not face open to the garden, but instead into a narrow gap of about a foot and a half, separated from the outside world by another (non-opening) double glazed window. It was into this twilight zone that my date had thrown her poo."
Smith explained that his date tossed her feces out the window but it became stuck in the space between the window instead. She told Smith that she wanted to retrieve the feces and dispose of it properly. With Smith’s aid, she apparently attempted to grab the excrement.
"Being an amateur gymnast, she was convinced that she could reach into the window and pull the poo out, using the tried and tested 'inside-out bag as glove' technique," Smith wrote. "Unfortunately she couldn't reach. Eventually, I agreed to give her a boost up and into the window. She climbed in head first after her own turd, reached deeper into the window, bagged it up, and passed it out and back into the toilet from whence it came."
Smith claimed that he attempted to help his date back inside the bathroom but she became trapped in the window instead. Smith decided to call the fire department to dislodge her.
"She called out to me to help her climb out from the window, I grabbed her waist and I pulled," he continued. "Try as we might, we could not remove her from the window. She was stuck fast, upside down in the gap. She had been upside down in the window for around 15 minutes at this point, and I was starting to grow concerned for her health. I called the fire brigade."
The fire department rescued Smith’s date but severely damaged his window in the process. He claimed it would cost £300 ($390.96) to completely replace the bathroom window. That's when Smith started a GoFundMe page and asked for donations to repair his window.
Smith said that he met with the woman after the incident to discuss fundraising efforts for the window repair. He explained that he was open to seeing her again despite what transpired.
"We did go and meet for a drink to discuss setting up the crowdfunder," he told Bristol Post. "She’s a lovely girl — I’m not sure what’s going to happen — I’m really busy with my dissertation at the moment but I’d certainly be open to seeing her again."
