Conde Nast's Favorite Overseas Hotel: Jalousie Plantation
After winning accolades from Conde Nast Traveller Magazine UK edition Jalousie Plantation Resort in Sugar Beach St. Lucia is gearing up to renovate itself and creating a new branding as the Tides Sugar Beach. The company is spending over $ 100 million on the enhancements. According to the readers of the Traveler Magazine, this is one leisure hotel in the Caribbean that most would like to stay in. In fact it was number 25 of the 100 most popular places to stay across the globe.
The to-be rebranded property is spread across 100 acres of virgin rainforest, and is located near the only white sand beach in the south west of the island, a winning point for the popularity of the resort. The Tides is located in the Val des Pitons (Valley of the Pitons), Sugar Beach a UNESCO World Heritage. The focus is to make this already exotic property ultra luxurious. You get to stay in the stunning backdrop of Caribbean sea, and the rooms in sparkling white decor lend to romanticism with their four poster beds that bring back the French Caribbean charm. The place is equipped with the Rainforest spa and bars and lounges for the residents to relax in.
