Confirmed 'Elder Scrolls 6' NPC Gets Own Mod Ahead Of Game’s Official Release

At the PAX East 2019, gaming studio Bethesda announced that the popular YouTube sensation Shirley Curry also known as Skyrim Grandma, will be included in the upcoming “The Elder Scrolls 6.” The 83 years old granny from Ohio became popular because, at her age, she still plays “he Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.” Now, ahead of the official release of “The Elder Scrolls 6,” the Internet’s most loved grandmother gets her own Skyrim mod titled “ Shirley.”

A new teaser for the Skyrim mod of the confirmed “The Elder Scrolls 6” NPC is now available. The two-minute teaser is on the YouTube channel of Daniel Kemp, that comes with a text, you’ve followed her for four years, now she’ll follow you.” The primary focus of the clip shows Skyrim Grandma greeting her viewers with her cheery “good morning grandkids” greeting. The end of the teaser suggests that the mod will be available in the early part of this year.

Skyrim Grandma began her YouTube channel in 2011 and since then has amassed more than 773,000 subscribers thanks to her decision to start producing “Skyrim” content in 2015. The confirmed “The Elder Scrolls 6” NPC runs three blogs and is also active on social media with more than 41,000 twitter followers. The Skyrim Shirley mod made by phantom-subscriber started production with a post made on the r/Skyrim subreddit in November 2018.

The production happened shortly after an online petition to get Skyrim Grandma into “The Elder Scrolls 6” was posted at change.org by Nick Popp. The appeal stemmed from Curry’s comments that she might no longer be around to play “The Elder Scrolls 6” because of the game’s unknown release date. The petition amassed almost 50,000 signatures.

In the Skyrim mod Shirley, the mod creator shared that Skyrim Grandma will be a classic barbarian with light armor that uses two-handed weapons as well as archery, which reflects her playstyle. Curry also volunteered to provide voice lines for the character in the fame. It includes unique commentaries on situations and locations.

Skyrim Grandma’s popularity is undeniable, and many media outlets earlier wanted to talk to the 83 years old video game-loving grandmother. “The Elder Scrolls 6” was announced at the E3 2018. So far, Bethesda has not made any announcements related to the much-awaited game.
