'The Conjuring 3' Will Be A Murder Mystery With Demonic Possession Plot
The title and official plot synopsis of the highly anticipated horror flick “The Conjuring 3” has been released online. Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) will be back to solve another case of a demonic possession, but this time around the case will be about a murder mystery.
“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” is the official title of the film. The name of the movie and the release date were announced on the official Twitter page of the franchise. It remains to be seen how many months the fans will have to wait for the first trailer.
As far as the story of the movie is concerned, it will be about a murder accused who blames demonic possession for the death, IGN reported. Ed and Lorraine will be called in for their expertise because the accused will use the possession as his defense.
Before taking on the murder case, the couple will have to first deal with the demonic possession of a young boy. “The Conjuring 3” will begin with Ed and Loraine trying to save the soul of the boy, but that case will take them on another journey.
In the film, the case of a murder claiming demonic possession as defense will be the first such case in the history of the U.S. The case may be a little more complicated than just a demon because Wilson previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the film this time around has a “much different feel.”
“ Again, we are pushing our characters to places they haven’t gone, but the film will be a really nice addition because it’s definitely a different beast. Pun intended,” Wilson teased.
“The Conjuring 3” has been directed by Michael Chaves, who is known for making “The Curse of La Llorona.” It will be released on Sept. 11, 2020.
