The trainer of one of Manny Pacquiao's past opponents wants a second showdown with the Filipino boxing legend.

Future boxing hall of famer Pacquiao moved up the rankings after victoriously snatching a split decision win against Keith Thurman. As expected, an array of world champions in the 147-pound division has been eager for a superfight with the eight-division title holder.

The list of fighters eyeing for a bout against Pacquiao includes a controversial opponent from the past. Glen Rushton, trainer of former welterweight title holder Jeff Horn, just made it clear to everybody that his boxer and Pacquiao have “unfinished business” with each other.

In a recent interview with FightHype.com, Rushton shared his thoughts about the most recent performance of Pacquiao. According to Rushton, Pacquiao did a great job against Thurman and agreed that the Filipino legend is in better shape now compared to the time when he faced Horn.

“I think he is, I think the fight galvanized him a bit,” Rushton said.

Rushton then went touched on the idea of a Pacquiao-Horn rematch, saying that if the Filipino boxer is open to a bout, they would “certainly do it again.”

“If ever Manny Pacquiao wants that fight with Jeff Horn, I think it’s unfinished business, then we’re up for it, we would certainly do it again,” Rushton said.

As for the outcome of the proposed rematch, the Aussie trainer was quick to predict that it will be a better fight than the first meeting, but in the end, Horn’s hand will be raised once again.

“I believe the outcome will be the same but I think it’ll be an even better fight than the first one,” Rushton predicted.

Pacquiao’s most recent opponent, Thurman, once blasted the boxing icon for his performance against Horn. Prior to their welterweight showdown, which happened a few weeks ago, Thurman had a flurry of verbal insults for Pacquiao which included the reason why he gave him the nickname “T-Rex Arms.”

“Go back and watch the fight (against Horn). That’s the day I gave him the nickname ‘T-Rex Arms,’” Thurman revealed.

According to Thurman, Horn dominated Pacquiao and the Filipino boxer “did nothing” to his opponent. Thurman even said that the Aussie boxer was a “real man.”

“Jeff Horn was a real man. He manhandled Manny Pacquiao,” Thurman taunted.

To this day, Horn's unanimous decision win is still plagued with controversies as many in boxing believe that Pacquiao won the fight, while some agree that Horn won but not unanimously.

Horn is set to face fellow Australian boxer Michael Zerafa on Aug. 31. He will defend his World Boxing Association Oceania Middle Title and will be held at Bendigo Stadium, Bendigo, Australia.
