Cookie Recall 2019: How To Get A Refund?

After the July 26 recall by JuJu Bakes, LLC, dba The Cookie Dough Café, for edible cookie dough bars because of a peanut allergen, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc. has issued a recall for its Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies because they may contain blue plastic pieces that could pose a choking hazard.

The recalled cookies do not have the plastic baked into the product, but rather visible inside the individual packaging pouch. The blue plastic was introduced to the product during the packaging process.

The recalled cookies are packaged in a five-pack and have Best By Dates of Aug. 31, 2019, and Sept. 7, 2019, which is located on the top of the box. The UPC code is 7203002378, which is located in the lower right-hand corner on the back of the box, and the lot code is 1350, which is located to the left of the top of the box underneath the price/lb.

The Entenmann's cookies were sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

Consumers should not eat the affected cookies. They should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. The company is removing the recalled cookies from all store shelves.

The company said that no other Entenmann's products have been affected by the recall.

Bimbo Bakeries discovered the issue after receiving a consumer report that blue plastic pieces were found packaged with the cookies. The company said it has not received any reports of injury to date.
