‘Counting On’ New Season Features Duggar Family Feud, Pregnancies And Loss
Being such a large family, the Duggars never seem to be slowing down. Luckily for fans, TLC’s upcoming season of the family’s docuseries “Counting On” will showcase the brood’s newest happenings. Find out what to expect from the 2019 episodes before the Oct. 15 premiere below!
A Big Move
After starting their family in Texas, Jeremy and Jinger Vuolo will be relocating to Los Angeles in the new episodes. “Our lives are about to change,” Jinger says in one trailer. Scenes from the extended preview show the couple introducing their daughter Felicity to the beach and hiking to the Hollywood sign.
More Babies (A lot More)
Kendra and Joe Duggar reveal she is expecting their second child in the trailer, but that’s far from the only baby announcement happening this season. Fans will also get to watch Josiah and Lauren Duggar’s gender reveal and John-David Duggar’s wife Abbie will drop a bombshell on her sisters-in-law-- she’s expecting baby No. 1! During a pregnancy photoshoot featuring Jessa Seewald, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Anna Duggar, Lauren, and Kendra, Abbie surprises them with the big news.

Jessa’s Surprise Birth
In the aforementioned photoshoot, Jessa is seen already holding her third bundle of joy -- daughter Ivy. While the trailer teases her latest birth, viewers can already watch TLC’s two-part webisode of Jessa and Ben welcoming their third child to join sons Spurgeon and Henry. Check out part one here.
A Big Loss
The Duggar family will mourn the loss of one of their own this season. Jim Bob Duggar’s mother Mary died in June and the episodes will showcase her funeral. “It seems like hard times and exciting times are always intertwined,” Jessa says.
More Michelle & Jim Bob
In the recent seasons of “Counting On,” parents Jim Bob and Michelle have played a smaller role. However, the new trailer reveals they will get some screen time this season. While several of their married children go on a date night in one installment, the grandparents will be tasked with watching the grandkids, the trailer reveals. “Hopefully nobody will end up at the hospital,” Jim Bob says.
“Never a dull moment,” Michelle adds.
Family Conflict
In one scene in the trailer, a producer asks if there is a conflict between Jinger and her mother Michelle over her daughter’s decision to wear pants. (Females wearing pants, for those not-in-the-known, has been considered a big “rule” among the family for years.) Jinger appears teary-eyed by the question and Michelle’s response isn’t shown, though she is seen smiling at her daughter in the footage.
“Counting On” returns with all-new episodes on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
