“Counting On” star Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth have revealed the name they gave their second bundle of joy, whom they welcomed on Aug. 21.
On Thursday, the doting mom shared new photos of the sleeping baby girl on Instagram and revealed that they named her Evelyn Mae Forsyth. As for how they decided on the moniker, Joy-Anna explained that she wanted their second child's name to be perfect and elegant.
“We had a hard time deciding but after a few days finally settled on 'Evy Mae' and we think it fits her perfectly!” she wrote.
Joy-Anna's fans were in awe over the “Counting On” stars’ baby, with one follower commenting, “So so precious. little Ev is adorable.”
“Beautiful name, to match a beautiful baby girl,” another wrote.
This came a day after the couple shared new snaps of their little one and gushed over her on social media.
“She is perfect and I love her more than I EVER thought imaginable!” Joy-Anna captioned the post.
On Monday, Joy-Anna and Austin, who are also parents to 2-year-old son Gideon, announced the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram and shared the first photos of their second child. The 22-year-old reality star also gave her fans an update on how the baby was doing.
“She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held! She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it!” Joy-Anna wrote.
Joy-Anna revealed that spending quiet time at night alone with her baby “has been so special.”
The husband and wife announced that they were expecting another addition to the family in March and later documented Joy-Anna’s pregnancy on YouTube. She also revealed Austin’s reaction when he learned that she was pregnant.
Last year, Joy-Anna suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage at 20 weeks and said in an Instagram post that they were supposed to have a baby girl. When they went for a checkup, doctors couldn’t find a heartbeat.
“Although we don't understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time,” Joy-Anna wrote. “Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord.”
