"A Country Christmas Harmony" Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
The Lifetime Christmas movies continue with the premiere of "A Country Christmas Harmony," starring Brooke Elliott and Brandon Quinn, on Friday night.
The film will be a treat for fans, as it reunites its two stars, who both have held roles in Netflix's "Sweet Magnolias." However, it is also set to be a treat because both have appeared on Lifetime before as well. Elliott starred in the network's series "Drop Dead Diva" as Jane Bingum for six seasons. Quinn, meanwhile, starred in the network's "A Welcome Home Christmas." He has also worked on Hallmark, holding a role in the film "Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses" as well.
Danny Pintauro ("The Secret Life of the American Teenage") also stars.
So what can fans expect from the film? According to a synopsis, plenty of musical talent, rekindled romance and a dash of holiday magic are exactly what fans can look forward to.
"Before Chrissy Kessler's (Elliott) meteoric rise to fame, the country music superstar was just a small-town girl with dreams of the big time," the synopsis reads. "Now, with her record sales on a rapid decline, Chrissy is strong-armed by an unrelenting record executive to return to the hometown she left behind to perform a live Christmas concert. Accompanying her on this journey is her longtime supportive assistant Eugene (Pintauro)."
Chrissy is reluctant to return home however for a big reason—her ex-boyfriend and former singing partner.
"Luke Covington's (Quinn) quiet life is suddenly disrupted when he runs into Chrissy, his ex-girlfriend and former country music duo partner, who disappeared on him to pursue her solo career all those years ago," the synopsis continues.
However, when the pair are forced together due to unexpected circumstances, they may wind up finding a way to work things out once and for all—both with their love story and their musical harmony.
"After a tempestuous rainstorm forces the ex-sweethearts to seek shelter in Luke's ranch home, the two realize that the only way they'll survive the holidays is with the other's help," the synopsis concludes.
"A Country Christmas Harmony" airs Friday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
