Emma Corrin is ready to open up more about gender identity after coming out as queer.

"I think visibility is key with these things," Corrin told ITV on Thursday. "My journey has been a long one and has still got a long way to go. I think we are so used to defining ourselves."

Corrin, who portrayed Princess Diana in the popular Netflix series "The Crown," further added, "My journey has been a long one and has still got a long way to go. I think we are so used to defining ourselves."

Corrin went on to explain how society works.

"That's the way society works within these binaries and it's taken me a long time to realize that I exist somewhere in between and I'm still not sure where that is yet," the actor explained.

A fan uploaded the interview clip of the interview on Instagram on Thursday.

Corrin came out as queer in April. Last month, the 25-year-old actor shared a set of black and white topless photos, which made headlines.

"I'm still figuring it all out, and I think everyone is. And that's kind of the point is that there's no fixed identity, especially for like people in the queer community," the "Crown" star said. "It's going to be an ongoing journey, but yeah, I hope that sharing it helps people."

Corrin also said making the decision to come out as queer was scary. "I wasn't sure whether it was the right thing to do but the feedback from the people in the queer community has been wonderful," the Emmy-nominated actor added.

Corrin is currently working on Joseph Charlton's play "Anna X" along with British actor Nabhaan Rizwan.

About the stay in London for "Anna X," Corrin told the outlet, "I walked from the station to where we're staying through Canal Street and it's an amazing feeling of solidarity. It's a beautiful feeling to be amongst that kind of thing."

Corrin will feature in the movie "My Policeman," which is directed by Michael Grandage and is based on a novel penned by Bethan Roberts. The movie also stars Harry Styles and David Dawson.
