"The Crown" stars Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin have shared their thoughts on Prince Harry's views on Netflix's royal family period piece after bagging Golden Globes for their performances in the series.

During a recent episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden," Prince Harry was asked about his thoughts on the Netflix drama, which claimed the most trophies at the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards this Sunday.

The Duke of Sussex made it clear he has no issue with "The Crown," saying, "They don't pretend to be news. It's fiction. But it's loosely based on the truth. Of course, it's not strictly accurate." But he said the show offers "a rough idea about what the lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that."

After winning best supporting actress for her portrayal of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in "The Crown," Anderson revealed that she is glad Prince Harry has a good opinion of the show.

"I would say that Harry is fairly well-qualified to judge what is fact or fiction and it was pleasing to hear he understood what Peter [Morgan] is trying to do on 'The Crown'," Anderson said, reported Entertainment Tonight.

"That he is telling a nuanced story of the challenges of putting duty and service before love and family and that he has certainly many, many years of experience with that. I think it was nice to be on the outside and also on the inside of a show that I care about hearing perhaps that subject addressed," she added.

Corrin has a similar view as Anderson when it comes to Prince Harry's take on "The Crown."

"Peter's version of 'The Crown,' it is so fictional and it feels so removed from the actual royal family. So on one level I feel like it is so distant -- it feels so disparate -- but on the other hand obviously the characters are based on real people," she said.

"I saw the interview he did with James Corden and I felt incredibly grateful to him actually. I'm incredibly moved by what he said and I don't know what I would talk to them about. I haven't thought about it that much but the way he spoke about it and the fact that he's watched it... I was very moved by the fact that he managed it," she added.

The 25-year-old actress won the best actress trophy at this year's Golden Globes for her portrayal of Princess Diana, beating co-star Olivia Colman for the honor. Apart from thanking her team, Corrin paid tribute to the late Princess of Wales during her acceptance speech.

“And most of all, thank you so much to Diana. You have taught me compassion and empathy beyond any measure that I could ever imagine. On behalf of everyone who remembers you so fondly and passionately in our hearts, thank you," she was quoted by Variety as saying.

Aside from Colman, Corrin was also nominated alongside “Killing Eve’s” Jodie Comer, “Ozark’s” Laura Linney and “Ratched’s” Sarah Paulson.
