Crypto On Oct. 27: Bitcoin Retains $20,000, Ether Back Above $1,500
The crypto market opened another day on a bullish note, with leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) holding above $20,000, a price region reclaimed after weeks of lowered volatility.
On the other hand, Ether (ETH), the second-biggest cryptocurrency, outperformed BTC and reclaimed $1,500 after breaking $1,400 Wednesday.
The trading volume of BTC dropped 61.29%, while that of ETH went up 0.19%. The price of BTC surged 2.26%, while ETH was down 4.46%.
As of 12:08 a.m. ET, BTC and ETH tokens were priced at $20,758 and $1,554, respectively, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
The crypto fear and greed index indicated the market was in "fear" as its value dropped to 32. BTC jumped 8.96% in the last seven days, while ETH's price was up 21.41%.
Additionally, as per the prediction from Bitnation, the BTC token is expected to reach a maximum price of $37,396.47 by the year-end, while the ETH token will likely trade around $2,799.01 at the same time.
Other top 10 crypto coins were also bullish, with Binance Coin (BNB) up 1.44% to $290.33, Solana (SOL) up 1.08% to $31.50, Cardano (ADA) up 1.80% to $0.4066, Dogecoin (DOGE) up 16.24% to $0.07656; and Ripple (XRP) up 3.20% to $0.4761.
The top gainers included Toncoin (TON), which rose 7.68% to $1.95; EthereumPoW (ETW), which was up 8.64% to $7.32; Shiba Inu (SHIB), which was up 8.13% to $0.00001127; and Klaytn (KLAY), which was up 19.87% to $0.2352.
The top losers in the crypto market were Huobi Token (HT), which was down 4.80% to $8.95; Chain (XCN), which slipped 7.47% to $0.05267; Maker (MKR), which was down 2.04% to $947.92; and Casper (CSPR), which dropped 2.81% to $0.04679.
Other popular tokens that were slightly up included Polkadot (DOT), which was up 0.20% to $6.50; Avalanche (AVAX), which was up 0.95% to $17.12; and Polygon (MATIC), which rose 0.09% to $0.9329.
