‘A Cure For Wellness’ Star Mia Goth Talks Working With Jason Isaacs And Dane DeHaan In The Horror Thriller
Mia Goth opened up about what it was like to work with Jason Isaacs and Dane DeHaan in the upcoming horror thriller “A Cure for Wellness.”
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Goth said that she enjoyed filming scenes with Isaacs in the Gore Verbinski-directed movie. “I had a lot of fun working with him,” Goth said of the “OA” star. “I'm just starting out. I’m quite new to all of this, and he’s been doing this for a little longer, so I definitely learned a lot from him, which is nice.”
Goth is also thankful to have worked with DeHaan. “I learned a lot from him – it’s very minimal what he does, but very effective, and you can’t help but be pulled into what he’s doing,” the 23-year-old British-Brazilian actress told Contactmusic.com of her experience working with “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” actor. “I just feel very grateful to have had the chance to work with him.”
Apparently, Goth is a huge fan of DeHaan’s works. “I’d always wanted to work with Dane, I love everything that he does, and I think he’s a really talented actor,” added the actress. “He’s also a very giving actor, you know, he’s always willing to explore moments with you, and that’s a very rare trait in an actor.”
“A Cure for Wellness” follows the story of Lockhart (DeHaan), an ambitious young executive who is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from a idyllic yet mysterious treatment center at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. Upon his arrival, he soon suspects that the wellness facility’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. But when he starts to uncover the wellness spa’s terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested and finds himself diagnosed with the same mysterious illness that keeps all the guests there longing for the cure.
Isaacs plays the facility’s director, Dr. Heinreich Volmer, while Goth portrays Volmer’s daughter, Hannah, who also happens to be one of the patients at the rehabilitation center.
“A Cure for Wellness” — which also stars Adrian Schiller, Celia Imrie and Ashok Mandanna, among many others — opens in theaters on Friday, Feb. 17. Check out the trailer for the film below:
