Custom 'Pure Gold' Apple AirPods Max Is Selling For $108,000

Apple’s new AirPods Max boasts great audio quality output, good active noise cancellation, many convenience features, comfortable earcups and a sturdy build. But it also comes with an eye-watering $549 price tag, which might be a bit too much for the budget-conscious.

Those with a lot of cash to spare, however, can skip Apple’s $549 headphones and get custom gold-plated versions of the AirPods Max, each of which will cost a whopping $108,000.

The AirPods Max Gold, made by Russian luxe company Caviar, comes in stunning white-and-gold and black-and-gold versions. Both feature earcups covered in 18-carat, pure 750 gold, as well as headbands made with pure crocodile leather.

They also feature two 18-carat gold rings inscribed with Caviar’s branding, as if the above does not scream “luxury” enough. The rings are found at the base of the headband, adding more character and class to the already luxurious audio accessories.

The ear pads provide a stunning contrast to the gold earcups to which they are attached. They still provide users with the same comfort Apple’s original AirPods Max gives, albeit at a significantly higher price tag.

“Airpods Max Golden White looks elegant, emphasizing the status of the owners and their impeccable taste,” Caviar said of the luxurious white variant.

“If you appreciate sophisticated design, laconicism and innovation, this model was created for you,” it then said of the elegant black variant.

Those who are hoping to get the AirPods Max Gold in either white or black will do well to decide quickly as the luxe device and accessory maker will only sell one unit of each. Caviar said each model “will be released in a single piece worldwide.”

Caviar promised that each transaction will be handled by a personal consultant. It also promised to provide a service support warranty for one full year from the date of purchase. The AirPods Max Gold will be delivered to the buyer’s city for free.
