“ Cyberpunk 2077” is one of the highly anticipated titles arriving next year for a wealth of reasons. One of the major reasons is the potential in the game’s story, something, which CD Projekt Red would like to keep grand. Although it will be a while before we get the opportunity to see the game’s world, we are in luck to have the chance to get a sneak peek of it through the companion lore book of the upcoming title.

A new lore-based book will be launched following the official release of “Cyberpunk 2077.” The lore book is called “The World of Cyberpunk 2077 Deluxe Edition.” It will contain a wide range of bonuses like stickers, a slipcase, and a chance to have a first look at the world map of the game.

Although the image of the “Cyberpunk 2077” map that we have right now is not the most explicit version, it would at least give players the idea of the geography and scope of the game. Earlier, CD Projekt Red revealed that the game’s world would be smaller compared to its successful title “The Witcher 3.” But, the game developer also assured us that the world would be a lot denser.

The world map, as seen on the companion lore book, seems to align with that idea. Meanwhile, the original creator of “Cyberpunk 2020,” the tabletop game, shared some insights about “Cyberpunk 2077,” which, according to him, has dark themes and messages hidden in the game. In a recent interview with Games Industry to original creator Mike Pondsmith, he shared that the game, in general, is peppered with social and political themes.

The idea is generally to lure players with the grimy but cool world and then introduce them to a certain point in the game where they start to question and ponder upon what all of these things mean, Pondsmith revealed. When you want to send a message, which is far massive than the game, you have to allow players to discover it for themselves, the original creator said. All we have to do is lay the groundwork, set the trap, and let players step on it, Pondsmith continued.

“Cyberpunk 2077” is scheduled to arrive in Apr. 16, 2020, while the companion lore book will be available starting Apr. 21, 2020.
