Dad Takes Daughter To Hotel Room In The Guise Of Job Interview, Rapes Her There

A man allegedly tricked his daughter into believing that he's taking her for a job interview in a hotel room and raped her there, police said Thursday.

The 48-year-old father from Delhi, India's capital city, was arrested for sexually assaulting his 22-year-old daughter. The suspect brought his daughter to a hotel in Gurugram, a city southwest of Delhi, on June 7 on the pretext of a job interview he had set up for her.

The victim was looking for a job to support her parents as the family was going through a financial crisis. The man told the victim that the recruitment company had specifically requested to conduct the job interview in a hotel room instead of an office and convinced her to go with him, reported Times Now News.

It was only when the girl reached the hotel room that she realized it was all ruse. Once inside the room, the man reportedly tied the victim's hands and taped her mouth. She was then sexually assaulted.

According to the police complaint, the man captured the act on video. The suspect reportedly threatened the woman that he would circulate the clip if she revealed the assault to anyone.

After the incident, the man took his daughter back to their home in Delhi. However, when the victim got a chance to talk to her mother alone outside her home, she told her about the incident. The victim's mother filed a police complaint and the suspect was arrested.

"The accused has been arrested. Further investigation is in progress," an investigating officer said as per Times of India.

The suspect has been charged with rape and relevant charges for filming the sexual assault, police said.

In March, a man from the city of Gurugram in India was arrested for repeatedly raping his 14-year-old daughter in her mother's absence. The man reportedly told the victim that he would kill her siblings and mother if she told anyone about the abuse. The girl then told her mother about the ordeal and the father was arrested. During interrogation, the man confessed to raping his daughter and offering her money in return.
