‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2017: Can David Ross, Lindsay Arnold Win The Season 24 Mirrorball Trophy?
Much to the surprise of viewers, David Ross and Lindsay Arnold have succeeded on Season 24 of “Dancing With the Stars,” despite having consistently scored lower than their competitors. However, thanks to votes from their fans, they’re now set to compete in the finals, and may even have a chance at shocking everybody with a win.
As the two-night finale approaches, “DWTS” viewers are wondering what Team Lady And The Gramp’s chances at winning the ABC competition series really are. In Week 9, before knocking Simone Biles and Sasha Farber out of the competition, David and Lindsay performed their best dances yet and scored higher than ever before. Their consistent improvement has been noticed and praised by the judges.

That said, the odds aren’t stacked in the team’s favor. According to Oddsmakers, there’s a 7 to 1 chance of David and Lindsay taking home the Mirrorball trophy in Season 24 of “DWTS.” Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater’s chances are slightly better at 9 to 4. Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy, however, are the clear favorites at 2 to 9 odds.
Normani may be the favorite, but her road to winning won’t be easy. Ahead of the “DWTS” finale she rolled her ankle. TMZ obtained video from the moment, during which she was trying to do a split jump, before ET Online confirmed the injury.
She hasn’t let injury keep her out of the ballroom before, so we’re sure she won’t let a rolled ankle hold her back in the “DWTS” Season 24 finale. In Week 7,viewers learned that Normani had been suffering from a “severe strain” in her back. While she played it off in her package, she opened up about the severity of it during a conversation with Us Weekly.

“I’m on medication, and I just have to pace myself and take things step by step,” she said. “[The doctor] literally told me if I keep going at the rate that I’m going that I could crack my hip, which I don’t want. I have three weeks left of the competition and it’s, like, so close, but so far. I just have to play it smart.”
On Monday, the remaining three teams will step into the ballroom for part one of the two-part finale to perform two dances. The first will be a redemption routine, while the second will be a freestyle. Scores for both dances will be combined before being added to their Week 9 scores to determine their overall place in the competition.
Below are the songs and styles the finalists will be performing in Week 10 on “DWTS”:
Team Shad Squad (Rashad and Emma)
Redemption: Viennese Waltz to “Dark Times” by The Weeknd ft. Ed Sheeran
Freestyle: “Let’s Go” / “Uptown Funk” from Drumline/Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars
