‘Dancing With The Stars’ Couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd Tease Wedding Plans With Baby Boy Shai

After welcoming their bundle of joy into the world in January, “Dancing With the Stars” couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are finally ready to plan their future, which includes a wedding.

The couple made an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Friday which marked their son, Shai Aleksander’s television debut, People reported. The engaged pair were overjoyed about the newest addition to their family and wanted to spend as much quality time with him as possible. “We just wanted to keep him for ourselves,” Murgatroyd said during the taping.

Now that they are finally sharing their baby boy with the world, the couple revealed they have plans for him to be a part of their summer 2017 wedding however, they are not sure just where he will fit. “We’re wondering how to get him down the aisle,” Murgatroyd said.

No matter where he is placed in the wedding, his father has high hopes the little guy will have a dapper appearance. “I’m hoping he’ll look like me and have [Peta’s] personality,” Chmerkovskiy said.

The dancing pair has also shared posts about life after Shai’s arrival. Chmerkovskiy shared a sweet Valentine’s Day post on Instagram just days before Shai’s television debut. The “Dancing With the Stars” alum posted a picture of the three relaxing in bed.

“Happy V-Day to my absolute number one. Thank you, I love you and I’m in love with us,” he captioned the photo.

Meanwhile, Murgatroyd has shared posts on Instagram of what life is like after giving birth and the struggles of getting back in shape. “Being an athlete I pride myself on having a lean, strong physique, so believe me this has been a challenge to work through, but as long as you have a loving support network around you, you will be fine,” the dancer wrote about her post-baby body.

Despite her love of dance along with her husband’s, the new parents are going to do their best to keep their son away from the ballroom floor. “I hope never,” Chmerkovskiy said when asked if Shai would ever get into dancing. His statement was echoed by Murgatroyd, who stated that she would be happy if her son didn’t take an interest in the activity.
