‘Dancing with the Stars’ Finals: Rob Kardashian Scores High, Lake and Martinez Tie
Dancing with the Stars kicked off the first of its two-night finale of Season 13 on Monday with Rob Kardashian scoring high and a tie for Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez in the finals.
The three remaining competitors, Lake, Martinez and Kardashian, wowed the judges during Monday night's performances, the final before the winner is crowned.
The night ended with Kardashian in the lead, with 57 out of 60 possible points, and Martinez and Lake tied with 54 points.
Kardashian scored 27 points for his opening waltz with partner Cheryl Burke before scoring a perfect 30-points with his freestyle routine comprised of old school ballroom moves, lifts and twirls, leaving the judges amazed.
To get a 10 you have to really blow us away, judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. Consider me blown.
You've just given your all, judge Len Goodman said, Your family should be proud, though earlier he called Kardashian's waltz simple.
Kim Kardashian, who was cheering her brother on from the crowd with Khloe Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner, was extremely proud of her brother, according to People.
Never would I ever have thought I would get a perfect score, Rob Kardashian said after his performance.
J.R. Martinez also received a perfect score for his hip-hop freestyle routine with a scantily-clad Karina Smirnoff while his opening routine was a low-scorer.
Two things were revealed. Karina's body and your talent, Goodman said.
Lake received 27 points for each of her routines, which included a cha cha with partner Derek Hough. The three judges cited a lack of fluidity for Lake, though she has the most points accumulated for the entire season.
Lake's freestyle was fast paced and described as the most demanding of the dances by judge Bruno Tonioli.
You've never been hotter, you've never been sexier, Tonioli added.
On Tuesday, the winner of the three season 13 finalists of Dancing with the Stars will be announced after the contestants dance one final time and Lady Antebellum performs.
Who do you think will be crowned winner?
