‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Peta Murgatroyd And Maks Chmerkovskiy ‘So Excited’ About Baby Boy As Due Date Nears

Baby Chmerkovskiy will be here soon! “Dancing With the Stars” pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be welcoming a baby boy any day now, and the engaged couple couldn’t be happier.

A source close to the professional ballroom dancers told E! Online that Peta and Maks are “so excited” about the impending arrival of their little bundle of joy. “Peta is feeling great,” the source said. “She’s looking beautiful, as always and has the mom-to-be glow.”

The outlet reported that Peta and her fiancé already have the baby’s nursery ready to go and it’s decorated with an elephant theme, something Maks definitely appreciates. “Many years ago Maks purchased a small faux elephant. From that point on, people started giving him all different kinds [of elephants] as gifts,” the source explained. “His accidental collection is what inspired the nursey and made it special to both of them. Some of Maks’ own elephants even appear throughout the room.”

“They said their little man’s room is now their favorite in the house,” the source added. “Now they just need him to arrive!”

Last week, Peta and Maks were joined by their friends and family for a baby shower at New York City’s McCarren Hotel & Pool. Maks took to Instagram following the bash to share a picture of him holding a very pregnant Peta’s hand. In the caption, the 36-year-old dancer thanked everyone for coming out to help them celebrate their baby boy.

“The love in the room was apparent and all the babies made us feel at ease about bringing a kid into this crazy world,” he wrote. “If our children are half as close as we have been through the years, they will have a large family of loyal friends to fall back on! … This is an incredible adventure and I can’t say it enough how lucky I am to have a partner like @petamurgatroyd to experience it with! I love you always.”

Earlier this month, Maks and Peta shared a hilarious story with fans revealing in an Instagram video that they were kicked out of a Lamaze birthing class. According to Maks, his 30-year-old fiancée was a bad student and kept “misbehaving” in class. “I don’t blame her,” he said. “Cause it was a million hours long and we’ve been shown waaaaaaay too much stuff!”
