Looks like Peta Murgatroyd has another reason to celebrate besides taking home the Mirror Ball trophy this season. The “Dancing With the Stars” pro, who earned the title of Season 22 champion with partner Nyle DiMarco on Tuesday, is reportedly expecting her first child with her fiancé, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Us Weekly confirmed the exciting news, revealing that the dancing duo, who got engaged in December 2015, will welcome a ballroom bundle in just a few months. But according to reports, the expecting couple isn’t thrilled that their private announcement was leaked. TMZ revealed that their news was accidentally unveiled by “DWTS” co-host Erin Andrews. A source told the outlet that Andrews congratulated the two on their pregnancy Monday night during rehearsals while she was still wearing her microphone.

The insider continued to explain that Erin tried her best to play it off as a joke, but unfortunately for Tom Bergeron’s co-host, the damage was already done. The source added that the reason Peta and Maks were so enraged with the leaking of their pregnancy was because they had yet to tell their loved ones and were planning a big unveiling.

During an interview with People magazine in December, Peta admitted that she was eager to start a family with her soon-to-be husband. “I would just like to bask in this engagement bliss for a little bit. Maybe for a year. Maybe a little less,” she told the outlet, adding that she would “like to start [having kids] pretty soon.”

“A little boy, and then a little girl,” she continued. But Maks revealed that he envisioned a different plan for his future family. “A little girl first, then a little boy. I think an older girl would be more responsible. I was an exceptional older brother, but I think that was just a one-in-a-billion thing,” he quipped.

Peta agreed that Maks really is one in a billion. “Maks always wants to take care of everybody, which, to me, was the biggest sign that he’ll be an amazing father and take care of me the rest of my life,” she said.

Both Peta and Maks have yet to comment about the rumors regarding the pregnancy.
